Gumroad Recommendations
The Best Way To Say It by Joshua Lisec – This is a recent purchase but it is already one of my favourite writing courses. What brings this course to the next level is the editing session. Joshua edits articles in real-time and breaks down his process. If you are serious about writing this course is essential.
Write Your Ebook in 7 Days by Jose Rosado – I love Jose’s style. This was the product that showed me that creating an online product is not only doable but you don’t need to go through an existential crisis to come up with a topic. Jose has also been continually updating the product too. There is so much value crammed in here. If you’re thinking about writing an ebook or even considered it, this is a must buy.
Catapult Your Blog Into Success – Drive Traffic, Increase Growth, Maximise Profitability with your audience by Emily Dyson – Emily breaks down how you can make money off your blog. The advice she shares is invaluable. Especially for someone like myself who is a bit of a noob when it comes to blogging. Emily breaks down her process and will help anyone grow their blog and ad revenue.
Book Recommendations – Non-fiction
How to Fail at Almost Everything and Still Win Big by Scott Adams – The main takeaway from this book is that if you employ systems over goals you will get a better outcome. This book has changed my life and it has made me aware of the power of practising affirmations.
Win Bigly by Scott Adams – This is a play by play account of how Donald Trump went on to win the 2020 presidential election. Whether you are a fan of Donald or not this is essential reading. Scott breaks down Trump’s persuasion and how he was able to predict victory despite what the experts forecast.
Loser Think by Scott Adams – Are you noticing a theme? Are you trapped in a mental bubble? Well this could be the book that will help you break out of your loser way of thinking. He also helps you spot what makes a bad argument and what to watch out for.
Predictably Irrational: The Hidden Forces That Shape Our Decisions by Dan Ariely – Dan Ariely has third-degree burns over the most of his body. As the nurses rip the bandages from his body he wonders why they do it that way. What follows is a fascinating exploration into why we make the decisions that we do.
The Power of Positive Thinking by Norman Vincent Peale – While it would be easy to dismiss this book you would do well to keep it in mind. It might feel like it is oversimplified to a fault this is an uplifting spiritual book that you can rely on to guide you through the darkest nights of the soul.
Books – Science Fiction
Dune by Brian Herbert – I was late to the party on this one. I saw the interesting David Lynch version years ago. Didn’t think much of it. It wasn’t until watching a few videos talking about it that I purchased the audiobook before finally sitting down to read the book itself. It is a trip, one you have to go on for yourself. Stationery Recommendations
Good stationery is important. Whether you write for business or pleasure.
Pentel Energel XM Retractable Gel Pen with 0.7 mm Tip, Black, Pack of 12 (BL77-AO) – You can never underestimate how important a good pen is, it makes you want to write. There has never been a pen more comfortable and more enjoyable to write with. I buy them in bulk. Along with the refills. I recommend that you do the same.
