2019 is a new start. The aim is to build on what I have done already. 2018 is a good year, but 2019 has to better.
Let me tell you about what you should expect over the next 12 months on kieranmajury.com.
1: Four posts a week.
Consistency is something that will have to be strengthened.
In 2018 things started off shaky but they got better as things went along.
It’ll be a new post every Sunday, Monday and Wednesday.
There’ll be a weekly roundup on Friday too.
2: More introspective.
It’s becoming easier to write posts when I frame them as a conversation with myself.
If I imagine doing self-talk, the writing comes more natural. It feels like this because I can convince myself that no one will read it.
Little do I know that I’ll be publishing it for the whole world to see, I’m so gullible.
This might be off-putting to some readers, but it will be a better tool to form a bond with those who hang around.
3: Read the blogs out loud.
This is a combination of vanity and a way to get me to read over my work. When I’ll do a video, I’ll occasionally get feedback.
That feedback will tell me that they like how my voice sounds.
Who am I to deny the people of what they want?
4: Open a donations page.
I enjoy blogging, and it has given me some renewed sense of purpose. It means that I have something to be getting on with at all times.
The short nature of blogs means that I don’t have to get too emotionally invested in each individual blog.
None of them needs to be perfect.
I would like to get a little compensation from work.
I’ll be setting up some kind of digital tip jar at some point. Hope that you can spare a little something every once in a while.
5: More extreme.
More extreme is more extreme than the point that I am trying to get across.
One of the more surprisingly popular posts from last year was this one. It was about me bombing at stand up and getting tore into for complimenting the female stand up.
Here’s the thing.
In that post, I was holding back. I was being nice, and I still got slated in the comments.
In for a penny in for a pound.
I know what I’m in for.
Do you know what you’re in for?
You and I are going to find out together.
See you in 2019.
